I have a '74 Power Wagon that's in pretty rough shape. It suppposedly has a 2" lift in, but all the suspension seems to be shot. As for the engine, the 318 has definitely seen better days. However, my dad tells me it has a very strong transfer case, and a decent transmission. On the farm we have a '56 Ford grain truck with no engine, and a dually rear end. I've been contemplating putting the rear end on my '74 because I really want a dually. Does anyone see any pros or cons with this idea? Because if it won't work than the '56 body is getting replaced with a '84 Fleetwood Brougham body haha. Plus there's been talk of the '74 going to the crusher if nothing gets done with it.
