Anything prior to 1972 will be a tight fit. Wheelbase is the simple part to figure out. Matching the front wheel location with respect to the firewall and radiator support are the important factors.

It would be a good combination if executed correctly. It couldn't be much worse than the way Dodge crammed the motor half way under the cowl in the '94 and later trucks.
