Yea, getting the old tires off is a bear if they have been on there for a while. I've use the teeth of my backhoe to work old tires off the rim before but it can take a while even with the pressure of a backhoe, so $15 to de-mount is a steal. Putting a new tire on a cleaned up wheel is a piece of cake.
