Yep Ed, the thing starts right up with 12v on the 6v starter. My Pertronix ignition and coil really made a difference in how smooth it runs too.

Hope you can get you work on yours soon! I know it's frustrating watching everyone's
progress while you're gathering parts/cash to get started.
