you should have an air cleaner elbow that bolts to your carb. the elbow then has a round cylinder with a threaded rod in the middle to accept the wingnut on the air cleaner. there were two carbs for the 3/4 wcs. the cast iron zenith carb (early) and carter carb (late) both have elbows and the tube assemblies. sounds like you have a civvy carb / air cleaner. i think i might have some spare air cleaner parts if you find yourself in a pinch. good luck
