Dana 60 full floating rear axle.
Pulled the axle and drum to check the brakes.
Put the drum back on. Put the axle shaft
back in, but it won't go all the way. I get
the splines lined up and rotate the drum to get the studs and holes lined up and it goes in maybe an
inch, but then it stops. Needs to go in
another inch or so. I pulled the axle shaft
back out and looked inside the tube with a
flashlight. Can't see anything that would
be blocking the shaft. Anybody seen this
happen before? I can't think of anything
else to try but pull the cover off the
diff to see what's going on inside.
