the Snow Plow Prep Group option consists:
- Heavy Duty shift on the fly transfer case
- computer selected springs
- trans oil overheating light
MSRP........... $185 minus $85 bonus
Invoice price...$157 minus $72 bonus
All the prices are on the net. www.edmunds .com and www.webcarbook.com
All the above info, except for price is in the sales brochure. DO NOT EXPECT THE SALES PERSON TO KNOW ANYTHING OR TEACH YOU ABOUT THE TRUCK. Very few know what they are talking about. I have not yet met a salesperson that EARNED a commission.
Read the window sticker carefully. I found a second charge for tires on several stickers. To upgrade to the 265 tires, there was a charge of $275.00 on a truck that already had the tire price included in a SLT package.
As far a towing power, the 2500 and the 3500 with the same motor are very much the same. Of course, the 3500 has a higher payload. For $95 MSRP, or $81 invoice, you can get the Camper Special group on either truck. It consists of a rear stabilizer bar and an extra leaf in the springs.
Do a lot of research and know the options and what the invoice prices are, rebates, and what the dealer gets from the factory for selling a truck. They make money even if they sell it for invoice.
