Actually the tri axle is cheaper than a Foster tandem. The tri axle weighs 2600, built like a tank. The Foster Tandem is big bucks at $3700 top of line still weighs about 2400. I would like to think that the tri axle would give more stability on the road. Your yearly registration of $60.00 is very close to what it costs in NY.
