The Discovery channel on tv just had a series on about "Monster Machines" One section had a tree felling tractor with hydrolic controlled chain saws. It could cut a tree down, strip all the branches, and cut it to 20ft lengths, and stack them, all in 60 seconds. This might give you some ideas.
