There is no way an original stock 251 flathead bellhousing from a WDX-WM300 PW will bolt to any V-8 eng. The top 2 holes are the only ones that could possibly boltup.
It would take a custom adapter plate and savy to bolt a setup like that. The starter casting on the L-head BH would be your first problem.
An L-head can bolt to some universal SB V-8 bellhousings, but not a V-8 to a L-head bell housing. Have you ever even put the L-head bellhousing up to a V-8 to check?
