I have been using it my '48 P15 Ply Coupe for over 10 years. Switched out my B1 last year when I did a full brake job. If the vehicle is not a daily driver it reduces the wheel cylinder problems from moisture in the brake fluid. In my P15 I was having problems on almost a yearly basis. Since switching over not a single problem. If you are driving the vehicle a lot probably not needed, but for ones that sit for periods of time it's a good investment. If the rubber is new supposedly you can flush with denatured alcohol. If it is old I would replace all rubber components. Also some people claim the DOT 5 doesn't have as firm a pedal as DOT 3 and/or can cause brake light switch problems. I have seen neither.
