To All,
As we are always on the hunt, I've come across 3 Dodges in my travels that someone might be interested in. I just hate to see them rot into the ground. Just passing these along. If anyone is interested, the next time I am in those areas I will make it a point to stop and find out more about them.
I know the wc54 is for sale. The other 2 are just sitting. Just drop me an email at
robert.stopka@compaq.com, or call my cell phone, 8-5 central, mon-fri 850-624-6319.
1. wc54, owned by a military junkie, in south alabama. He tells me he has had it a long time. I looked this over close. It is really strait and complete, down to all the original engine components, combat rims, and
most all the interior, including the longitudinal rear seats and front bucket seats. running boards good. the only rust out is at the rear of the front fenders, bubbled through as usual, and a little rot above the body drip rail. If someone really wants a wwii ambulance, this is a good one, and he told me he drove it in and parked it under the pines, probably 10 years ago. I doubt it has run since, but it has kind of been protected some by the pine trees. The
kicker is he says he wants $ 5000.00 for it,
but who knows...maybe he would take less if someone offered him $. If anyone is seriously interested, I'll go talk to him again.
2. d series town wagon in a wrecking yard out in the boonies. 50 miles from me, but I go by there a bout every month. This one is very complete, and not smashed in at all. it even has the bumpers. I can only recall it having rust through at a body seam. If I recall, I think it is the seam right below the windows. Not real bad, but definitely needs repair. Don't know if it is for sale,
or the price. Can check it out.
3. The w200 is in another wrecking yard out in the sticks. The guy says it is his sons. It is about a 69 w single headlights. It is complete with the bed, has little if any rust and does run. I heard it run, and it sounds fine. That was last fall. The guy said his son would sell it for $ 1200.00, if I recall. It is ex USAF, but I don't think it is blue anymore.
4. D200 crew cab with a flat bed sitting in a farmers field about 100 miles from me. I
go by this one every couple of months. It
is also about a 69. I have not seen this one up close, maybe 100 feet away, but it appears to be strait.
Just trying to help out some fellow Dodgers.
