V-6's

I was just wondering how one of the early V-6's out of a GMC truck would work?I believe GM made these engines in 3or4 different sizes from what I remember.They're fairly scarce not to mention parts availibility.A previous employer had 4 or 5 in his fleet(mostly 1 tons).They were all equipped with the V-6's.They had plenty of torque at about any rpm.Many of these engines we're used on irrigation systems.Just a thought.What do you think Charlie?
