I agree with Fred that the WC-62 will do well off road, but there are a few things to consider...
It's a heavy truck for the flat head six that moves it. It's large... tight fit on the trail.
50 mph might be optimistic for road speed...
Re-powered with a modern V8 might be a different story, but consider the historic value of the truck...
Unless it's really thrashed, I think it would be best to restore it and make a trail rig from a more common Dodge.
The M37 has excellent articulation and a more friendly trail size. Re-power kits are available that don't hurt the firewall or frame...
I'd explore that route and put the WC62 into well-deserved retirement.
