You got to wear rain gear to do it. It leaves sand every where around the item. It can flash rust ect. Good points no dust or floating sand particles to go in the lungs. Takes off the grease and paint pretty good and fairly fast. You can use just about any sand in it plus it is easy to move the pressure washer compared to the compressor. I have used mine a lot and like it. It won't heat the metal up either.
