Ok, starting to wire the engine for start up. I am converting to a 12v system. I have a Power Master 140 amp, one wire alternator. I also have ditched the AMP meter and replaced it with a Volt meter. This is on a 55 FFPW with the original 230.
The image shows my preliminary wiring sketch. I am confused on where the alternator should be wired?
I have seen recommendations to wire the alternator represented by all three of the red dashed lines.
1. Alt=>Bat
2. Alt=>Starter
3. Alt=>Volt meter
Which one is correct, or is there a combination of any of them? Any other suggestions? Does anyone see anything wrong with my other wiring?
Thanks,
Clark
