Figured the hone tool speed and up and down for the cross hatch pattern. Cleaned up the engine with LOTS of warm soppy water after doing it. Spent several hours with my drill and wire brush as I did not want to sand blast the engine. Dried the block good and cleaned it with a paint solvent that evaporates. After painting part of the block I oiled every thing bare for surface rust again.
