Change Carb out for a test?

Going to put my spare Carb on today to see if the smoke goes away some. The one I am using leaks some and is missing a few parts inside on the accelerator pump in the float area. I know the other carb is good that came off the 53 PW I got parts from. Plugs are getting carbon fowled bad when I run it. Might have a bunch of little stuff wrong causing a bigger problem on the smoke. Plug wires shocked the crap out of me also so they are leaking voltage to!
