if its the heater I am thinking of the piece you need to get off is held in by 2 or 3 push in button type fasteners from the top under the glove box. I think you can get in with a screw driver and pop them out then the piece with the 2 vent doors in it will tilt back then lift it out as lower edge is held in by the lip
