OT....WA/northern CA trip planned

We are planning a trip to take our daughter to see her mother near
olympia the last week of march. We are flying into Seatac then dropping her off with her mother then head to northern CA, either Redding or Red bluff regions. Any ideas which would be better and how long from Olympia to Red Bluff? Also, any touristy stuff in those regions would be helpfull as well. I really would like to go to Red bluff as its farther into the state. Thanks! Roy
