The engines may or may not hold up. In my opinion the bigger issue is the corn gas does not have the same shelf life that no ethanol gas does. Even using marine grade Stabil the corn gas breaks down faster than real gas.
Point in hand, for reason beyond this discussion my friend let his plane sit for ten years. This fall he put new tires on it and hand propped the engine. When he turned the magnitos on it started up and ran fine. The story gets better but I don't want to get him in trouble with the FAA.
That's why I use aviation gad in all mytwo and four cycled machines.
