I have an old 6 D cell Kel-Lite. Most of the finnish has worn off but it still works.
It used to fit quite well in the sap pocket in my uniform trousers. I'm told the MAG-Lite evolved from that. Mine has the Costa Mesa Ca. address stamped in, They were right across the street from Armalite.
