they are great. i have the huge 8D cell one. it serves more than one purpose in the urban jungle. i have replaced the orig bulb with a led bulb. i get much more run time with the led. i have begun to use a tactical sure fire flashlight. more bulletproof, much smaller, eats expensive little 3v batteries.
