I have never seen or heard of a factory provision for the driveshaft to pass through the crossmember. But I'm sure many have done it. The offset is very, very rare. I was able to find one several years ago, thanks to Eric B. and the internet. It was on a W500 scheduled to go to scrap in a wrecking yard some place in PA. It took me a year, about 15 phone calls, begging him to go out and crawl under the truck and remove it, and a check for $300. But I got the pto and the offset.
