1/2t transfer case seal replacement/adjustment

Hi all,

My transfer case is leaking like crazy from the front drive shaft seal. Also there is significant movement in the shaft when I grab the flange.

Can I replace the seal and adjust the play while it is in the truck, or do I have to remove it and crack it open? From the archives I see the 2-speed needs to be pulled, but I'm not clear on the 1-speed.

In chassis OK, remiove shims to tighten. - Chris Case 14:26:27 12/15/2014
