03 gets 17.7 without chip or other upgrades. 4dr duelly 4wd 6 speed stick 160 k have owned since new. gets 9-12 with camper and 46 towed on a heavy duty 20 ft bumper pull trailer depending on conditions least amount of problems in the engine for 3rd generation trucks. Hard to find for sale. This is my third Cummings duelly There are 5 others in my immediate family. Various years and models all done well except for the auto tranny on an 01 4wd Duelly the rest are all sticks. Range from 01s to 2011 year models all are subjected to heavy pulling Three are chipped etc., 3 are bone stock Least amount of problems encountered are with the STOCK ones, no chips performance upgrades other than springs etc. All these trucks have been subjected to heavy pulling in heavy traffic are over long distances we live in Ft.Worth, TX. area. I would run away from any trucks that had been chipped are upgraded with lots of performance upgrades because they have been usually drove really hard.
