#47, with a mini bayonet (ba9) base, was the standard 6 volt panel lamp on tube radios back in the day, so perhaps that's what it uses. #55 is brighter, has the same base and has a round bulb. I've seen them on older vehicles, so that also sounds right. It's nominally 7 volts and 47 is nominally 6.3, but that doesn't make much difference. The 47 is about 1 watt and the 55 is 2 watts, more or less. I found a box of NOS Sylvania 55s, but only 4 left in it. Do you need 2? Let me know and I'll send them to you.
