I have seen some "rat rods" that were well engineered, safe, and had a place in the collector car / hot rod realm. These displayed talent by their builders and innovative concepts in their design.
Many, however, were poorly built and were not worth the gas for the cutting torch or the welding rods that only showed a lack of skill.
The Power Wagon family of trucks has finally been discovered by serious collectors as shown by their increasing market values.
This truck appears to have many decent parts. Putting it back into the Power Wagon realm reminds folks of the value of our trucks.
On the other hand, making it a "rat rod" will add $'s to the value of my "survivor" trucks.
