I totally rebuilt the original latches when i did the truck. It was badly stressed when I got it so I know where I needed to do work. No rattles in the tailgates on washboard roads either. No problems with the gates at all. So far I have not see any stress damage. I have reinforced a lot of the major stress points. The hood did cip a little paint on the radiator cowl but the all do that.
I di not care for the gearing. 1st lo is too slow and 2nd low is too fast for the trail we were on. I have a sm420 which has a 7.0? first gear which is great for rock climbing but alittle to much for what we did.
