Hi Dave: Good question; I do not know the answer. My Braden books only go up to 1972, and they do not list the winch model given above. I do not know what the "P" means.
Planentary ios usually shown as "PD" [planetary drum].
A similar winch may, or may not be, the Braden MS3-10 upright winch. A MS3 has a capacity of 8,000 pounds, and 10 means a 10 inch wide drum measured edge to edge on the inside. "S" might indicate it has a safety brake installed. A MS3-10 would work nicely behind the cab of a PW within poles out back if all loads were kept within the 8,000 pound limit. Good luck!
