I think that is where the confusion is coming from. When you say "flyheel", one automatically thinks of a manual transmission. Since you have an auto trans, you are talking about the "torque converter driveplate", as it is called in my 2000 Dodge shop manual. In the auto trans section of the book the torque spec for the "driveplate to crankshaft bolts" is 55 ft lbs. In the diesel engine section, the torque spec for the "torque converter driveplate bolts" is 35 ft lbs. The 35 ft lb spec must refer to the bolts that hold the converter to the driveplate. The manual seems alittle confusing in this regard. I would say that if you torqued them to 55 ft lbs, with locktight you are all set. Mike
