I read some more articles on the site and evidently, they like to go to a mettalic pads when doing this process. They claim that the pads will last much longer with drilled drums. Part of the process is to hone/reserface the drums. I cant help but wonder how much of the improved braking is drilled drums and how much is new pads and reserfaced drums. I'm sure they replace all supect lines and master cylinders as part of the process as well. If I had a spare set of new drums laying around, it would be a good experiment. But things being as they are. I will wait for some other lister to make the plunge.
