Actually, I think the responsibility and opportunity now rests with the owner of the Zentmyer reference materials, and that person is Dave Butler, of Vintage Power Wagons.
I was always afraid John Z. would be hit by a bus and we would be doomed. You know, all his stuff sold at an estate auction, and no hope of a book. But, Dave bought it all, and, as I have so frequently pointed out to him, he doesn't have a single, other important thing to do besides put a book together.
Most times when I visit him in Fairfield, he is sitting in a chaise lounge, outside in the shade, drinking lemonade from a glass that he keeps in one of those holders you poke in the ground. It is quite a picture....
