fuel tank sealer

I have a plastic container with 2 compartments, 1 for chain saw gas and 1 for bar oil. I've had this thing for 40 years and it finally developed a tiny leak in the side. I tried marine tex, but it didn't work. I think it's too brittle for a flexible container. Is there anything that's flexible, gas resistant and permanent? Thanks. JH
