If you take a 70,s bigblock bellhousing open the centering hole in the tranny end up I think it was .325 you can slip the bellhousing onto the tranny then transfer punch the stock bellhousing holes over to the nv4500 drill and tap them and thats it. stock clutch fork and throwout work. You need a pilot bearing from Hughes engines that presses into the large tourque converter hole in the crank(19.99$). Stock truck flywheel from any mopar v8 (just has to be balenced to your motor ie cast or steel crank) and clutch for a later 318/360 truck that came with the nv4500 it will bolt to the old truck flywheel. And youve got a bigblock hooked to a great tranny.
ps I used a dodge v8 4500 not sure about a diesel or chevy tranny.
