Buy the new one, and keep the old one to rebuild if/when you need. I don't know if it's a good idea to rebuild it now and keep it on the shelf, depends on how the diaphragm will hold up over time. Someone will know.
I don't throw any rebuildable parts away anymore. Water pumps, master cylinders, wheel cylinders, etc. I tossed the original master cylinder to my WM300 when I bought an M37 master for the truck. Wish I'd never done that.
