Probably a head gasket blew, common to both engines. There is a difference in head gaskets. The Fel-pro copper one side, paper other side is ok but ONLY if block and head surfaces have been machined back to specs. The better gasket is the metal on both sides such as a Best gasket or older gasket. If you pull the head, look for dark areas between cylinders on the block, those indicate low areas that will impact the sealing ability of the head gasket and result in premature failure.
