My personal tastes for non-PW craft projects is leaning towards a multiple horse power steam engine. I think I have enough scrap brass saved up, between ammo and plumbing fittings. There will be lots of woodworking in it though, what with soft wood patterns and Mahogany cylinder lagging. 5 hp ought to push an old sailboat hull at hull speed.
