Can you do me a favor...can you just pull the valve cover and just make SURE the INTAKE valve is closing as you time it? If the exhaust valve isn't opening you will have the same effect...
Not to a PITA, but something is wrong and out of time.
Every time I change points in either my 62 TW with the /6 or the 68 Utiline with the LA 318 I pull the distributor and retime. I adjust the valves on one of my motorcycles on a regular basis and always check the intake closing for TDC...
