A lot of these so called rod shops, you know the ones with the guy with the shaved head, the tats, the stereo systems that cost 20 grand and deafen other drivers. They are not worth visiting more than once.
The best thing you can do is go with someone who has assembled a similar vehicle in their past . They will know what they are getting into and you will save thousands because some of the things that worked on their earlier build took hours of thought. By being second or third you are not paying for all that lost time.
