Stop running it on 5 cylinders. It is not getting you anywhere. Start diagnosing the issue. Start by checking the valve timing (is the timing chain set correctly). Check the distributor to see if it is set correctly (both timing and dwell). Check the firing order are the plugs connected correctly?
Who did the rebuild? Take it to them and make them fix it.
