Don't know about the vises, I have two old vises, one is a non swivel machinist vise that can double as a anvil, and another old usa made vise that I am afraid to even tighten down very much, this vise has been broke three times, one jaw has been broke off, the square tounge has been broke, and all the feet have been broke off, all brazed back on, all still hold. but I am gentle with it as it has two more places in the body that are starting to split open, don't know bad batch of iron I guess, Dave.
