So, that beautiful FFPW on ebay right now (blue one) says "original gas can"
1) Is that really true? I don't mean whether the can is original or period correct...I mean was a can like that with the special bracket an original option?
2) If so, what does that elevated mounting bracket look like up close? The piece that attaches it to the bed side.
3) Now to tell you my interest. I bought a can at a flea market in WI where the tag said, " can from 1961 Dodge truck". Is it possible it is from a Dodge Powerwagon...even if a military version? I can post a photo if it is worth while.
Again, I am not questioning the sellers claim at all ..I'm just ignorant
