70 psi is enough to start and run the engine. DO IT!!!!!
Your compressions will come up just from running the engine. let it run at a high idle for at least one hour, better yet, get in it and drive it.
What come first, the chicken or the egg?
You will improve your compressions by making the engine run at temperature, don't focus on getting compressions high first, then starting the engine.
