only after a certain year the long blocks had the full flow system ports in the block. I don't think that started till late 50s or early 60s. the 361-4 and 413-4 dodge truck/indtitrial have both bypass and full flow because the bypass will remove the finer particles the full flow will not and bypass also removes acid from the oil.
