The maximum you can weld with .030 ER60-S2 wire using 120 Volts is 1/4" at 90 Amps #5 setting, duty cycle is 20% or 2 minutes out of every 10 minutes.
.035 wire would be pushing the limits and possibly give you a cold weld that would break.
If it were me, I would break out the SMAW (stick) machine and use E-7018 1/8" rods. set at 110 amps.
