The paint I use is very forgiving but with inlet pressure...10lbs wouldn't make any difference to my end result other than I may have to move quicker.
Same goes for the gun...so long as you're using a good quality gun...HVLP or a 1951 Divilbiss siphon style gun....ones no better than the other...just a matter of what you're used to.
I prefer the old guns for frames & painting inside cabs...the gravity feed guns are just too bulky.
That said, they sure are easy to clean & are very efficient but the best paint jobs I ever saw came from an old Binks siphon spray gun.
Just get used to your setup. Practice with it & understand that what works best for somebody isn't the best. 95% is technique & hours & hours of practice.
