Todd; do a web search on OSHA Safety equipment. HEPA respirators filter dry particles, non organic. For painting or
zip stripping, DONT use a HEPA filter. You need to get a Organic Vapor canister.
If you buy a quality respirator, the canisters screw on the face piece. You can then interchange the proper cansiter for the job.
Without a doubt, air supplied respirators are #1.
Always make sure you have a perfect seal.
