Need the short wheel base tow vehicle to move & park my trailers in areas I can't manuever my Suburban (please don't ask where... it's another long post). I also tend to leave the PW attached when working on/with my trailers & don't like to leave my Burb out of commission any longer than I have to. Mmmmmmm... you guys thought I might be planning a vacation pulling my 31' travel trailer across the Rockies with my 53 FlatFender to visit Mike in Las Vegas? The most I plan on pulling any of my trailers with the PW is about 10 to 15 miles, ever, but don't want to drop the rear bumper & lose the trailer on the San Mateo Bridge or in FiddleTown!
I am looking for a frame mounted receiver/hitch solution. This has worked well on every truck I have owned... I just never owned a FlatFender before. The rear bumper suggestion is not viable in my situation. The hitch needs to support pulling quite a bit of weight (6k to 8k lbs) up/down fairly steep inclines. I intend on leaving the pintle on for the 2.5T military trailer. Thanks!
