wm300 diesel

I was wondering if it is possable to put a small diesel engine in an old dodge wm300 trk. I have a 58 now and has 9,900 miles on it and is spotless. We re-painted it. I just want a runner that I dont have to wory about. I hear something about a perkins Diesel once on this board? Thank you very much.
